Responsibilities

Project Proposal and budget development
Managing large budget Generation Projects for multiple disciplines
Responsible for the execution, coordination, schedule, and maintaining integrity of assigned projects, including compliance with contractual requirements, as well as acceptable engineering/design practices and quality control
Responsible for maintaining corporate and generation division quality procedures
Must be able to organize and manage projects to meet or exceed the scheduled time frame, budget, and other related goals
Will regularly interact with clients, so must be able to communicate effectively and resolve technical and commercial project issues
The candidate will be responsible for business development, developing proposals, and making presentations
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Projects may be domestic or international so some travel may be required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of 12+ years of related work experience
Experience in the EPC industry with a focus on power plant design work
Experience in a wide range of power plant technologies is valued including biomass, municipal waste, geothermal, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS, hydro, wind, solar, gas-fired and/or coal – subject matter expertise is less important than the ability to lead and manage complex projects
Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions and ability to negotiate the same
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent communication skills and team player
Proven ability to estimate, scope, schedule, and budget projects and keep projects on track in all these areas post-award
Commitment to high-quality work and maintaining the professional reputation and client relationships that bring repeat business
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
