GPU Hardware Technical Program Manager

Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions and is seeking a Senior Hardware Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join their Hardware Development team within OCI. The TPM will be responsible for driving the design, development, and execution of complex GPU hardware products while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Drive execution and drive the design, development and implementation process of specific product involving all Hardware Engineering functions, Manufacturing Operations and OCI Data Centers departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products
Closely integrate the engineering of our JDM with Oracle and GPU Vendor
Customer and stakeholder communication & engagement:
Document customer requirements/gaps/difficulties & prioritize
Articulate the status, progress made and next steps through engagements and weekly status reports to SVPs
Convert customer requirements into engineering requirements and articulate them to engineers
Work hand in hand with designated Platform leads & GPU\CPU suppliers
Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending
End to end ownership of overall product
Supervise the project from initiation through delivery
Validate and review final products per requirements including technical reports, test metrics and processes before releasing to customers
Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints
Mitigate risks/showstoppers, handle customer issues
Represent the product/team up to the SVP level independently and at a higher level with appropriate coaching
Be the most knowledgeable person in the team about the execution, technical Issues, the trade-offs and the whys behind them
Ability to explain your team's analyses and recommendations to leadership while discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with senior engineers and product managers
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms

Required

Strong communicator, both written and verbally
Well-rounded Hardware technical background
History of leading large-scale designs end-to-end
Understanding of Hardware Engineering, designs, various cloud technologies and technical trade-offs
Ability to explain team's analyses and recommendations to leadership
Ability to discuss technical trade-offs in product development with senior engineers and product managers
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations
Ability to drive execution and design, development and implementation process of specific product
Experience in customer and stakeholder communication & engagement
Ability to document customer requirements/gaps/difficulties & prioritize
Ability to articulate status, progress made and next steps through engagements and weekly status reports
Ability to convert customer requirements into engineering requirements

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
