Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate automatic spring coiling machines and other metal-forming equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications
Mount, align, and secure tooling attachments for each production run
Ensure machines run accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining production timelines
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as needed
Diagnose malfunctions and perform or coordinate required maintenance
Fabricate or modify parts using machinist tools when necessary
Support company-wide continuous improvement initiatives
Document machine set-up procedures for repeatability and knowledge sharing
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a Set-Up Technician, Machine Operator, or Manufacturing Technician
Prior experience operating or setting up spring coiling machines or similar metal component manufacturing equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working on your feet throughout the shift
Familiarity with machine maintenance and repair tools
Ability to write detailed set-up instructions and technical documentation
Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and machine monitoring
