Responsibilities
Review repossession recommendations, approve or deny to reduce loss to the credit union, while exhausting skip trace efforts in order to locate vehicles
Monitor repossession agents to ensure timely vehicles recovery and prepare repossession notices
Respond to charged off member’s questions or concerns via phone or email
Work with debt settlement companies to negotiate settlements and follow up with vendors to address debt validations
Maintain working relationships with attorneys, vendors, and agencies that support collections and specialty areas
Manage charged-off inventory with accuracy and proactive oversight to ensure effective handling and resolution
Create and deliver informative reporting to show vendor performance
Research, evaluate, design, and test the need and development of process and product changes
Support with designing and implementing new reports, queues, views, or other enhancements in Akcelerant and manage communication with Akcelerant for successful project resolution
Participate in new and innovative projects to improve efficient servicing operations and success of strategy and collaborate with internal partners to accomplish department and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
High School or Equivalent
3 Years Collections or Related
Preferred
4 Year Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Related
