Assistant Disabilities Coordinator & Assistant Testing Coordinator

The Assistant Disabilities Coordinator & Assistant Testing Coordinator will support the Academic Skills Center by providing accommodations and academic support services to students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with disability laws while promoting academic success.

Responsibilities
Assist in the intake process and documentation review for students requesting accommodation
Coordinate the provision of alternate format materials (e.g., e-textbooks, enlarged print, scanned documents)
Support students in using assistive technology and accessing academic accommodations
Maintain accurate and confidential disability records and databases
Disseminate informational and reminder communications to students with disabilities
Participate in disability awareness programming and events, including Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society activities
Collaborate with the Director to ensure accessibility across campus and adherence to best practices
Schedule and proctor exams for students with accommodation in the Testing Center and other designated locations
Communicate with faculty and students to coordinate exam logistics and ensure timely delivery and return of exams
Provide accommodations such as reading, scribing, or technology setup during exams
Monitor exams using video surveillance or computer-based systems and report academic integrity concerns
Maintain the Testing Center calendar and arrange for additional proctors as needed
Assist in data entry and reporting related to testing services
Respond to student, faculty, and staff inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and courtesy
Help prepare and distribute marketing materials for ASC services and events
Support the planning and delivery of Learning Strategy Workshops and other academic success initiatives
Participate in campus events such as Open Houses and Orientation to promote ASC services
Qualification
Required
Experience working with students with disabilities or in academic support services
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a student-centered environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with assistive technology
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in student services
Preferred
Bachelor's degree required in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred
