Accounting Analyst
Gila County is seeking an Accounting Analyst to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements and manage budget constraints. The role involves reconciling accounting systems, preparing expense reports, and providing support for budget preparation and analysis.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all grant reporting requirements and timelines and that the department stay within grant budget ramifications
Reconcile county accounting system monthly to ensure accurate expenses are coded and billed to the correct grant funds and/or general funds
Create expense reports to generate State grant reports and work with managers to project revenue and expenses for all budgets
Maintain accurate data and support to the Health & Emergency Management Department in following budgets and projects requirements
Perform accounting duties, order supplies, maintain data and provide budget support
Prepare monthly general ledger for reconciling projects to general ledger and create Contractor's Expense Reports
Review all transactions for over 25 funds to ensure proper revenue and expenses are received
Create journal entries to correct errors
Review and process invoices for payment and interact with vendors; prepare all employee credit card reconciliations
Order supplies, create requisitions and submit support for purchase orders
Perform cash and bank reconciliations
Maintain electronic files
Create and analyze data using MS Excel
Provide support to personnel and staff members
Provide research and analysis support for management staff during budget preparation and development for Federal, State and Local grant funders and the annual audit
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
