Responsibilities
Provide competent legal advice and representation to the Board of Supervisors and other County elected officials
Assist the County Attorney in all civil matters
Act as a gatekeeper for all legal actions taken by the BOS
Help further County goals and minimize the risk of litigation against the County
Provide legal advice and representation for assigned County bodies
Legal revision and approval of the County's legal contracts
Prosecute all civil actions involving the County
Defend the County in all civil actions not covered by the County insurance risk pool
Assist County Attorney in other assigned tasks and act for County Attorney in assigned adjudicative proceedings
Provide consultation to newer attorneys within County Attorneys Office
Perform other duties as assigned

Act for County Attorney in assigned adjudicative proceedings
