ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, RESEARCH ANALYST
The Bank Policy Institute (BPI) is a nonpartisan public policy, research and advocacy group representing the nation’s leading banks. The Research Analyst contributes to the analysis of banking, financial markets, and other economic issues conducted by BPI’s research team.
Financial Services
Responsibilities
Assist researchers by using statistical and econometric analysis
Gain familiarity with various banking and macroeconomic data sources used by BPI researchers
Synthesize combined findings into memoranda, research notes, and online articles
Prepare presentations to senior employees at member banks, federal agencies and media
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, computer science, statistics, math, business administration, or related field is required
Proactive, self-starter who can be relied upon to take initiative and work independently, with ability to multi-task and prioritize objectives and deliverables
Basic knowledge of economics, finance, or banking
Some familiarity with bank balance sheets and income statements
Ability to carefully and accurately analyze data
Basic level of proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Python, R, Matlab or STATA) and aptitude to quickly advance in proficiency
A high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Solid written and oral communication skills
