Fisheries Data Technician
Idaho Fish and Game is a premier natural resource agency dedicated to managing Idaho's fish and wildlife. They are seeking a Fishery Research Data Technician to assist with fish population surveys, habitat improvement projects, and data collection activities.

Responsibilities
Incumbents will generally work under direct or indirect supervision and perform tasks following established guidelines or procedures
Incumbents will conduct fish population surveys on streams, lakes, and reservoirs; assist with habitat improvement projects; conduct creel survey interviews; prepare, repair, and gather equipment for surveys; record data; enter data into databases; prepare fish aging structures for lab analysis; complete basic data analysis; and complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid drivers license
Experience following oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures
Some knowledge of biology, zoology, botany, conservation biology or closely related field
Some knowledge of life history, anatomy, and ecology of various fish species
Experience recording data
Experience operating ATVs, boats, trailers, trucks, and/or UTVs
Preferred
Relevant professional or volunteer-related experience in the natural resources field
Previous college coursework in topics related to natural resource sciences
