Responsibilities
Assist with coordination, operations and supervising of adult and youth league programs
Manage the league communication with volunteer coaches and participants in multiple athletic programs via phone, email and in-person
Handle the scheduling team practices and games, officials, parks/field calendars and updating scores and schedules
Help with setting up fields and equipment for leagues in facilities and parks while managing equipment supplies with teams throughout season
Coordinate and assist with field management and ensuring facilities are clean, safe and readily for various leagues, games and tournaments
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or state equivalent
Applicants must be 18 years of age
First Aid/CPR certified
Maintain a Valid Driver's License
Complete a successful background check
Knowledge and experience with sports including athletic leagues, clinics, tournaments and classes
Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain exceptional working relationships with peers, community groups, volunteers, independent contractors, co-workers, and the public by adhering to Batavia Park District's Core Values
Display excellent communication skills with the public, staff, parents and participants
Understand and anticipate customer's needs as well as support a customer service environment
Ability to portray a professional image of the District
Preferred
Enrollment in an accredited college program in Parks and Recreation or related field is a plus
Knowledge of theories, practices and philosophies of community recreational programming is strongly desired
