Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking an experienced FOIA Analyst for a position that is currently remote. The role involves processing complex FOIA requests and analyzing documents for production in response to these requests.

Responsibilities

Utilize knowledge of the FOIA and experience to process complex FOIA requests cradle to grave for a federal agency

With limited supervision, the FOIA Analyst shall review, organize, and analyze documents for production in response to FOIA requests, including determining responsive records, identifying confidential business information, intra-agency, pre-decisional and deliberative information or attorney work product, and personal identifiable information

Required

Possess strong research and analytical skills

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels

Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks within specified deadlines

Possess proficiency in managing and processing FOIA requests in the FOIAXpress software system

Possess working knowledge of personal computers and software (Microsoft Word and Adobe)

Possess knowledge of the FOIA, its procedural requirements, and application of FOIA Exemptions

Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent amount of experience per the GSA schedule

Possess at least five (5) years of technical experience in processing complex information requests under the FOIA

Possess demonstrated experience and knowledge of FOIA rules, regulations, and all 9 exemptions, including having specifically applied exemptions b(4), b(5), b(6), and b(7)

Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
