They are seeking a Project Bridge Design Engineer to assist in the technical design and plan production for bridge projects of varying sizes within their National Bridge Group.

Responsibilities

Design of new bridges and bridge widenings
Design of retaining walls and other transportation-related structures
Collaborate with other design disciplines for project delivery
Provide directions to junior level staff inside of the project team, as needed

Qualification

Bridge engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) CertificationAASHTO LRFDLEAP BridgeMathCADMicrostationFDOT policiesManage multiple assignmentsCommunication skillsWork independently

Required

BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
7+ years' relevant experience in bridge engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
Must possess excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation-related structures, including experience with AASHTO LRFD
Familiarity with LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MathCAD, Microstation, and Microsoft Office
Experience with FDOT policies and procedures highly desired
Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
Must possess the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
Must have solid communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals
A valid driver's license

Preferred

Experience with FDOT, SCDOT, GDOT, and/or TxDOT bridge policies and procedures desired
Bridge Maintenance experience
Bridge Inspection experience
Design-Build experience
