Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Work with accounting and finance teams to understand business needs
Translate those needs into technical requirements for system enhancements or new implementations
Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of accounting systems (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Workday)
Ensure systems support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency
Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows
Recommend and implement system-based solutions to streamline processes
Ensure financial data is accurately captured and reported
Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and analytics for decision-making
Ensure systems adhere to internal controls and external regulations (e.g., SOX, GAAP)
Collaborate with auditors and compliance teams during reviews
Act as a liaison between accounting, IT, and other business units
Facilitate communication to ensure system changes meet all stakeholder needs
Provide training to end-users on new systems or features
Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and system changes
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Communication and project management skills
