This internship involves conducting experiments, evaluating dairy ingredients, and developing food prototypes while gaining hands-on experience in a real-world dairy operation.

Responsibilities
Evaluate functionality of Agropur’s Ingredients portfolio
Identify creative uses of Agropur’s Ingredients in product development
Develop prototype formulas that fit targeted market needs
Utilize consumer market research to develop new product concepts
Interpret and translate whey protein nutrition science, research, and regulations into nutrition claims and internal science communication for sales and marketing, including supporting sales managers with technical knowledge to educate customers about whey ingredients and their benefits
Take direction on assignments and then work autonomously or with appropriate team(s) to accomplish assignment objectives
Acquire current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws related to R&D in a dairy manufacturing environment
Thoroughly learn about the Agropur business model and how to run an efficient R&D department
Actively meet and speak with R&D employees to learn the various aspects and responsibilities of their jobs
Learn to work safely and efficiently, while maintaining accuracy
Summarize and present a summary of projects and lessons learned at end of internship, if applicable
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Master's program in a Food Science, Dairy Science, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering or Chemical Engineering program as a candidate for graduation
Ability to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP)
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software
