Responsibilities
Lead meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
Plan and perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making, guiding tech partners where needed to add necessary metrics
Work closely with users, stakeholders, business analysts, product managers and development teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions
Follow customer’s guidelines and frameworks for UI design
Demonstrate strong visual design skills with a keen eye for usability, effectiveness, typography, color theory, and layout, translating complex concepts into visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces
Exhibit advanced proficiency in Figma, leveraging its capabilities for creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and maintaining design systems
Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
Apply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback
Use and contribute to the approved design system
Contribute to design standards and best practices
Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints ensuring quality and spec are as designed
Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations, and tools
Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility
Deliver on-time, identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines are met, and escalating where needed
Identify and articulate design and technical conflicts between colleagues and/or local stakeholders and help to resolve these
Promote the value of UX within the wider organization
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale design projects
Experience with discovery and prototyping states, as a well as experience with Design thinking and Google Design Sprints
Experience with working in an Agile Scrum environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent skills in professional design tools e.g., Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, Axure, InVision etc
Experience in using/creating design systems
Experience using design systems keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
HTML/CSS Development Skills Participation in external UX groups or communities with third-party services
Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch /Prometheus/ ELK stack
Exposure to large-scale systems design
Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications
Should have good communication skills to interact with stakeholders & Other teams
Experience in AGILE methodology
Provide technical leadership and development oversight to teams of Software Engineers/Analysts
Ensure application design adheres to the appropriate architectural and design patterns in the systems
Develop key software components and use your code as a teaching tool across the team for patterns and techniques
Host sessions for design and code review for stakeholders across the business
Improve engineering standards and process to improve team capabilities and efficiency
