Responsibilities
Provides consulting services with technical and/or industry knowledge in Utility Operational Technologies (OT) with a focus on Advance Energy Management Systems (AEMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems
Function in a lead role and as a technical specialist
May provide technical guidance or supervise staff on engagements
Lead client facing meetings
Develop high-quality business and technical deliverables related to complex client engagements and ensure client satisfaction
Identify sales opportunities
Provide technical direction on application config, development, mentor and train team members, and resolve technical challenges
Work with project managers, business users, control room operators and other teams to define requirements and communicate project status
Provide functional and technical expertise in various aspects of Utilities system implementations such as business requirements, gap analysis, solution architecture, initial system design and system implementation and testing support activities
Support execution of engagements to assist electric utilities with management of Electricity Transmission system planning, implementation, testing and operation
Support the evaluation of potential new vendor partners, and the development of partnerships with key vendors
Support business requirements definition, request for proposal development and EMS platform vendor evaluation
Support proposal evaluation, selection process, statement of work development and vendor contract negotiation
Support solution design, documentation, planning, implementation, vendor management, testing and acceptance
Qualification
Required
Experience of any programming language (Python, Java, .Net) and any database (SQL, MySQL)
Hand-on experience of system integration, API development, data modelling and data migration activities
Responsible for Technical architecture and IT solution design
Proven knowledge of hardware, software and architecture of any big digital transformation or new platform implementation project
Use relevant IT experience to engage with client utilities to understand their transmission system applications, approaches and methodologies in Electric Grid network
Understand IT/OT and Utilities security standards (e.g., NERC CIP)
Expertise in developing requirements, testing, acceptance and transition
Knowledge of and a working familiarity with current standards, and regulations governing power systems
Strong Communication skills
Capable of Customer Requirements Management, customer reviews etc
