The role involves collaborating with existing research teams and expanding neurorehabilitation research, focusing on multidisciplinary approaches to rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will collaborate with and complement current research teams/centers to help grow and expand neurorehabilitation research at MUSC. Key centers and collaborative opportunities include: Center for Rehabilitation Research in Neurological Conditions, Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Stroke Recovery (NIH funded), The Center for Healthy Aging, Center for Health Data Innovation & Impact, MUSC Institute for Neuroscience Discovery (MIND), South Carolina Alzheimer’s Network (SCAN) – based at MUSC

Required

PhD in a field related to cognitive or rehabilitation science

Extensive experience collaborating with rehabilitation scientists

Possibility of secondary academic appointments in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences or other departments at MUSC dependent on candidate qualifications and teaching interests

Possibility of a joint VA research appointment
