Responsibilities

Validating and confirming tax filings using applied audit principles and designed controls
Developing tools to monitor tax agency notices and tracers, resolve issues, and track trends
Maintaining company state and local tax jurisdiction registrations
Reconciling third-party tax reports and payroll tax reports to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Developing, managing, and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the outsource partner
Filing and reporting local taxes, workers’ compensation, and labor statistics with agencies
Contributing to year-end planning and year-end processes
Leading payroll continuous process improvement initiatives to completion
Organizing and maintaining documentation of payroll procedures using flow charts and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Participating in year-end and year-begin projects to support delivery of accurate and timely annual wage and tax statements
Responding to payroll tax inquiries from employees and tax authorities
Maintaining accurate payroll tax records and documentation
Staying updated on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in U.S. payroll tax within a multi-state, multi-entity environment

Preferred

Experience with Success Factors, SAP ECP, and ADP SmartCompliance
Experience with payroll tax implications for executive benefits, global mobility, and stock options
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
