Training Program Specialist (Intern)

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is an independent federal regulatory Agency within the Department of Interior, focused on the regulation of gaming activities conducted by tribes on Indian lands. The Training Program Specialist (Intern) will assist in the development and execution of training projects for both internal employees and external Tribal stakeholders, enhancing their professional skills in instructional design and training management.

Responsibilities

Participate in and support the planning, design, development, and implementation of training assets, including the creation and execution of graphics, videos, animations, and the creation and revision of training asset deliverables using a wide variety of software applications and tools to support the NIGC Training Program (e.g., the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint; the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; and Articulate Rise and Storyline). Examples:
Meet with subject matter experts to create content
Produce digital and print content to correspond with upcoming training events
Research and draft content
Assist with the planning and coordination of training events, virtually and in-person
Assist with developing training calendar and managing attendance reports
Collect metrics and assist with initial analysis and recommendations to improve communications, training, and learning and development that impact our audiences and stakeholders
Assist with daily office operations, including document updating and proofing, data entry, and records management tasks
Work closely with Instructional System Specialists and assist in various stages of project lifecycles
Work with the NIGC staff and Executive Leadership with communications and training

Required

Must be a student above high school level to apply
You must be a U.S. Citizen
You will be subject to a background/suitability investigation/determination
You will be required to have federal payments made by Direct Deposit
You must submit ALL required documents and a completed questionnaire
Selective Service: If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service system, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law
