Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our growing team in Morristown, NJ. This role primarily involves evaluating both routine and complex risk scenarios to determine their acceptability on behalf of the carrier, including negotiating coverage terms and pricing.

Responsibilities

Review new business applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions and when exceptions or opportunities for presentation of additional coverages exist

Appropriately determines opportunities to operate outside of standard carrier and/or agency criteria and coordinates negotiations to resolve

Recommend acceptance or declination of risks based on evaluation of application data and information gathered from Broker and client

Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure

Workflow includes creation and maintenance of reports, appeals, files, correspondence, or contacts as assigned

Recommend methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes
