Responsibilities

Perform power system studies using simulation tools like PSCAD, RTDS, and PSSE
Analyze FACTS plant behavior under various grid conditions and disturbances
Tune advanced controllers for optimal system performance
Investigate failures and assess sub-synchronous interactions and geomagnetic effects
Translate technical findings into clear reports and presentations for customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, R&D, and project management
Participate in customer meetings and interpret technical specifications
Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the global FACTS community
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Required

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or similar field
Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems and control system analysis
Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSCAD, RTDS, PSSE
Strong understanding of high-power converters and control systems
Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
