Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Define Product Vision: Analyze wireless communication technologies, market trends, user needs (carriers, enterprises, etc.), and competitor offerings to define a compelling product vision and strategy for 5G RF optimization solutions
Own the Roadmap: Develop, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the latest 3GPP standards and 5G network evolutions (e.g., mmWave, massive MIMO, network slicing)
Business Case Development: Create detailed business cases, including anticipated ROI, for new features or products, focusing on enhancing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, latency, call success rate, and coverage
Translate Requirements: Gather and translate high-level customer and market requirements into detailed, technical Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and user stories for the engineering teams
RF Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of LTE/5G network architecture, RF propagation theory, link budget analysis, and optimization techniques (e.g., parameter tuning, neighbor relations, interference mitigation) to guide product development
Guide the development and integration of RF planning and post-processing tools like iBwave, ATOLL, Planet, Actix, or proprietary software for performance analysis and network design
Work closely with R&D, software engineering, and architecture teams to ensure on-time delivery of products that meet specifications and quality standards
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical support to define product positioning, sales enablement materials, and ensure successful market launch and adoption
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all RF optimization aspects, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including high-level carrier or equipment vendor partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Minimum of 9+ years in the wireless communications industry
Significant experience (3+ years preferred) in a Product Manager role for wireless, network optimization, or telecommunications products
Hands-on experience in 5G/LTE RF planning, design, and performance optimization (e.g., drive testing, network data analysis, parameter audit)
Expert-level understanding of 5G NR, LTE, and VoLTE network architecture, protocols, and RAN features
Proficiency in analyzing and improving core RF KPIs (e.g., RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, Throughput, Handover Success Rate)
Familiarity with emerging technologies like SDN, NFV, and network slicing
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make data-driven decisions based on network performance metrics and user feedback
