Commercialization Project Manager

Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional team on innovation, renovation, packaging development, or engineering projects. Projects will both fuel company growth and help to capture efficiencies. The number of projects to manage will depend on the size and complexity of the projects
Accountable for working with the cross-functional team for all project deliverables (timeline, task management, change management, product characteristics, cost, profitability, quality, delivery to the customers etc.)
Develop and propose a solution to execute the project brief in the quickest possible time, meeting all the customer and consumer expectations of the brief and at the lowest cost. This will include recommendation on a team, resources needed, a detailed timeline with critical path and a risk analysis, etc
Manage change management systems
Manage several cross-functional teams of 20 or more people with several complex projects (6-to-24-month length)
Involvement and visibility to all functions at various levels up to the Executive Committee
Qualification
Required
The successful candidate should have led projects or had a significant contribution to the success of projects as a participant beyond their area of functional responsibility
Strong understanding of project stage gates, prioritization, business performance metrics
Must be able to work with a variety of key stakeholders – Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Product Development, Finance, etc. Must understand how to articulate the roles and responsibilities of each function to work together in the most efficient manner
Ability to create a team environment that incentivizes transparent conversations simultaneously engage and energize others to gain buy-in from outside stakeholders
Collaborated comfortably with other business areas to include marketing and supply chain
Solid understanding of tough economic imperatives, competitive pressures and today's growing social responsibility. Strong ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks
Detail-oriented, strong digital/IT skills are critical. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Project or equivalent
Must be a strong functional leader, this person must understand strategy, economics and financials
Good presentation skills are necessary
Bachelor's degree (engineer, business or other relevant), combined with experience and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience
Preferred
5 or more years of work experience demonstrating the skills required for this position
Master's degree (engineer, business or other relevant discipline)
Food or beverage industry experience
Product development experience
Smartsheet or equivalent experience preferred
Strong understanding of digital recipe management systems preferred
PMP certification preferred
