Responsibilities

Drive business development by identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams that grow UniGroup’s specialty logistics footprint

Evaluate and refine business models, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches to enhance competitiveness and profitability

Partner with members and the Logistics Board committee to translate ideas into actionable strategies that balance innovation with financial and operational feasibility

Apply strong commercial acumen to assess market trends, pricing structures, capacity, and service offerings in pursuit of profitable growth

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, marketing, and technology to align initiatives with enterprise priorities

Cultivate relationships with members, suppliers, and customers to strengthen UniGroup’s logistics ecosystem and long-term partnerships

Present insights, business cases, and performance updates to senior leadership and the Board to inform decision-making and gain alignment on key initiatives

Champion modernization and continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and market differentiation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ten or more years of experience in transportation or logistics, including at least five years in specialty logistics, business development, or strategic commercial leadership

Proven success in driving revenue growth, building partnerships, and expanding market share

Strong understanding of logistics operations and service models combined with strategic, data-driven decision-making

Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills with senior leaders, members, and partners

A collaborative, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to navigate ambiguity and drive change

Candidates must be located within approximately 75 miles of Fenton, Missouri, or be willing to relocate; relocation assistance will be provided for the selected candidate
