Responsibilities
Lead water and wastewater design projects from concept development through final design and construction support
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while ensuring compliance with client expectations and Tetra Tech standards
Supervise preparation of reports, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
Serve as the main point of contact for municipal and utility clients, maintaining relationships and identifying new opportunities
Direct and mentor engineering staff and coordinate efforts across disciplines
Evaluate alternatives and provide sound engineering recommendations
Support proposal development and contribute to business development initiatives
Provide construction-phase services, including review of RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Monitor project performance metrics such as backlog, utilization, and profitability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia, or ability to obtain within six months
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage budgets and schedules
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Familiarity with municipal standards, codes, and permitting requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard engineering software tools
Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
10+ years of experience managing water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, or pumping projects
Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or InfoWater
Established client relationships within the Georgia or Southeast municipal market
Experience mentoring staff and supporting team leadership initiatives
