Responsibilities
Greets and assists guest at the food & beverage outlet
Received payment from the guest for food and beverage purchases in an accurate, prompt, courteous manner
Adheres to established cash handling and internal control policies and procedures
Responds promptly to guests’ questions and directs concerns to the appropriate manager
Performance as a Team Member with kitchen staff and leadership
Maintains a clean workspace
Protects company assets against theft, breakage, and waste
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Good communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees
Must be at least 21 years of age
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently
Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements
Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends
Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor
Responds to visual and aural cues
Ability to stand for 8 hours
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
Preferred
Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred
Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus
