Responsibilities

Collaborate in team environment to Develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products
Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products
Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met
Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs
Perform engineering liaison activities during hardware fabrication and procurement, including travel to support and provide technical assistance to existing/new suppliers, support assembly, integration, and testing activities, and provide on-site support to vendors as needed

3D CAD ModelingMechanical EngineeringGeometric Dimensioning & TolerancingManufacturing ExperienceCommunication Skills

Required

Knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling in PTC CREO
Good communications skills (both oral and written)
Background in Mechanical Engineering processes
Willingness to travel
Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance

Preferred

Mechanical design experience in CAD modeling using PTC CREO
Knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS (including AWS weld symbology)
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and of ASME Y14.5
Experience with manufacturing
Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
FBM program knowledge or experience
