Responsibilities

Lead the structural design of buildings and infrastructure using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
Sign and seal drawings, calculations, and reports in compliance with state requirements
Manage projects from kickoff through completion, balancing budgets, schedules, and deliverables
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants for seamless project delivery
Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software (RISA, ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, STAAD)
Review and coordinate drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, providing redlines and markups as needed
Perform site visits and prepare structural observation and inspection reports
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS, etc.)
Mentor EITs, junior engineers, and CAD/BIM staff
Contribute to proposals, client meetings, and business development opportunities

Required

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
4-8 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 1 years post-licensure
Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD)
Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD for coordination, review, and redlining
Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
Proven ability to oversee project budgets, schedules, and teams

Preferred

Experience with threshold inspections, forensic investigations, or special inspections
Design-build or fast-track project delivery experience
Leadership and mentoring capabilities
Interest in business development and helping grow the firm
