Responsibilities

Maintaining a strong sponsored research program : The candidate is expected to actively pursue and manage externally funded research projects (grants, contracts, etc.) and ensure continuous productivity in research activities
Supervising graduate students : The individual will oversee the work of graduate students, providing mentorship, guidance on research, and potentially serving as their thesis/dissertation advisor
Collaborating with other faculty in and outside the department : Collaboration is encouraged both within the department and across disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary research and initiatives
Involvement in service to the university and the profession : This includes participating in committees, reviewing academic papers, organizing conferences, and contributing to the academic community within the university and in the broader field
