STAND 8 Technology Consulting provides end-to-end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and globally. They are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager focused on Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) to lead strategic planning, coordination, testing, and execution efforts for critical enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategy, planning, coordination, testing, and execution

Drive key initiatives in data governance, reporting automation, and data platform modernization

Partner with internal IT and Information Management teams-including the Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), Infrastructure Operations, Service Desk, Business Applications, and Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA)-to ensure alignment across all technical and business workstreams

Manage projects using both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, adapting based on project scope and complexity

Translate complex technical concepts, risks, and outcomes into clear communication for executive and non-technical stakeholders

Collaborate closely with the TSA team and other IM stakeholders onsite at the Port of Long Beach three days per week

Required

Proven experience as a Project Manager leading BC/DR initiatives within enterprise environments

Strong understanding of data governance, reporting automation, and cloud-based infrastructures

Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across teams while maintaining a high level of accountability

A balanced mindset of humility, curiosity, and teamwork-driven to deliver results while remaining easy to work with

Preferred

PMP and/or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe)

Cloud platform experience or certification (AWS or Azure)
