Responsibilities
Perform quasi-static maneuver loads analysis for aircraft and launch vehicles
Perform dynamic gust and turbulence analysis for aircraft and launch vehicles
Perform static and dynamic ground analyses for aircraft and launch vehicles
Perform aircraft flutter analysis including propeller whirl flutter
Support flight and ground test planning, execution, and data reduction (flight load survey, flutter envelope expansion, ground vibration, static test, qual & acceptance testing)
Prepare aerodynamic databases for use in external loads and dynamics analyses
Support wind tunnel test planning, execution, and data reduction
Develop aeroelastic analysis models including the integration of closed-loop control systems
Qualification
Required
Understanding of aerospace engineering principles and concepts
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a closely integrated team environment
Must possess comfort and skill with basic programs including Microsoft Office
Experience in aircraft or spacecraft static loads, dynamic loads, or flutter analysis is required
Loads and Dynamics Engineer: 5+ years of applied experience
B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent
Applicants must be able to show proof of U.S. citizenship or a ‘Green Card' as part of the ability to meet ITAR Compliance standards
Preferred
Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, and PERL is desirable
Familiarity with MSC Nastran, Patran, FEMAP, ZAERO, or comparable tools is a plus
