Responsibilities

Ensure taxpayer money is correctly and efficiently spent
Perform financial and compliance audits of state and local governmental units
Work in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards
Exhibit a positive, professional demeanor
Demonstrate good communication skills and possess the ability to work well with people
Conduct research and analytical tasks
Plan and organize work to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Participate in continuing professional development through on-the-job training, in-house training programs and outside training courses and seminars
Obtain professional certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Travel, including overnight travel, may be required for positions in this class

Required

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting or finance

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
