Responsibilities
Administration, configuration, and customization of 3D Design and Engineering applications including Smart3D, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, and Mat3D
Implement and manage application interoperability and data exchange workflows between engineering applications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Civil, Structural, Piping, Electrical, Vendors, and other disciplines to improve productivity, reduce rework, and digital delivery
Configure, validate, and verify engineering applications, including STAAD.Pro, to ensure accuracy and compliance with enterprise standards
Utilize API’s and underlying data model (Metadata) to develop and oversee deployment of engineering automation solutions to augment out-of-the-box functionality for maximizing tool utilization and optimizing engineering workflows
Review, monitor, and ensure compliance requirements are met for the design (e.g. Standards, specification, model, and local codes and regulations etc.)
Regularly performs reviews of vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met
Interfacing directly with software vendors to escalate issues (bugs) and request new functionality to support Venture Global’s standard workflows, which needs a strong technical understanding of the software applications
Develop and implement corporate standards and work practices for engineering systems that facilitate workshare and the propagation of high-quality data for downstream consumers
Coordinate with internal and external information technology (IT) to improve and troubleshoot software solutions
Must be able to communicate effectively with project teams, and management while maintaining a structured approach of working within a larger integrated engineering solution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar engineering discipline
7-10 years of experience within the EPC industries, in a relevant role and with strong project execution experience, is required
Proficient in usage and administration of Smart3D, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, and Mat3D
A good understanding or demonstration of skillset with Structured Query Language (SQL)
.NET API, SAM Web API, Azure hosted hardware/software infrastructure, would be considered a distinct advantage
Strong knowledge of methods for data-centric execution
Preferred
Professional Engineer license preferred
Experience with FEA analysis, steel, and concrete design, for both modular and stick-built projects is a plus
LNG project execution experience preferred
