Responsibilities

Operate gas or diesel powered cargo vehicles to transport ammunition, explosives, special weapons and their components
Physically handle munitions for movement and in loading and unloading carriers
Operate forklift to lift and move loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds
Inspect ammunition and explosive items
Inspects live ammunition for dents, loose primers and cracks

Required

Obtain and maintain Personnel Reliability Screening and Evaluation
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Must obtain a government license to operate military vehicles
Must possess and maintain the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) 'A' with airbrakes tanker and HAZMAT endorsement
Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in operating a forklift
Requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations
Completion of a pre-employment physical examination is required
This position is a Testing Drug Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing
Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc
Dexterity and safety
Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair
Knowledge of materials
Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Use of measuring instruments
Work involves lifting and positioning heavy objects weighing up to 78 pounds
Continuous physical activity in reaching, bending, turning or moving feet and legs
Exposure to all types of weather conditions and traffic
Knowledge of hazardous material handling
