Senior SAP Ariba Technical Product Owner

Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Technical Product Owner to own and evolve a critical Source-to-Pay platform within a complex SAP ecosystem. This role will serve as the functional and technical owner of SAP Ariba, bridging legacy SAP ECC environments with future-state S/4HANA and cloud-based Ariba solutions.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the SAP Ariba product roadmap, backlog, and release plans, aligned to Source-to-Pay business objectives
Partner with Procurement, Finance, and AP stakeholders to optimize Source-to-Pay processes using standard Ariba functionality
Translate business requirements into clear user stories and functional/technical specifications
Lead hands-on SAP Ariba configuration, including workflows, approval rules, Guided Buying policies, and catalog structures
Govern configuration changes to ensure platform stability, compliance, and adherence to Ariba best practices
Provide functional and technical oversight for integrations between SAP Ariba, SAP ECC/S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems
Support integration design leveraging BTP Integration Suite (CPI), OData services, SOAP/REST APIs, and IDocs
Coordinate and execute SIT, UAT, and regression testing, ensuring high-quality releases
Manage Ariba deployments and releases across environments
Provide L3 support for complex Ariba incidents, including root cause analysis and coordination with SAP/Ariba support
Monitor platform performance, adoption, and usage metrics to drive continuous improvement
Support change management and training initiatives to ensure successful adoption
Ensure solutions align with enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

7+ years of experience supporting, implementing, and owning SAP Ariba solutions in enterprise environments
Bachelors' STEM
Demonstrated experience acting as a Product Owner, Solution Owner, or Platform Owner for a SaaS application, preferably within Source-to-Pay / Procure-to-Pay
Hands-on functional and configuration expertise across SAP Ariba modules, including: Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP/SQM)
Experience leading or supporting at least three full lifecycle SAP Ariba implementations in a senior, lead, or product owner capacity
Strong experience integrating SAP Ariba with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA, including MM, FI, and AP modules
Expert-level experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments, including backlog management, user story creation, and sprint planning
Proven ability to govern Ariba configuration changes while adhering to best-practice, low-customization approaches
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively across Procurement, AP, Finance, Legal, and IT teams
Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, regression testing, and release management for enterprise SaaS platforms

Preferred

Experience using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite (CPI)
Hands-on experience with Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
Exposure to complex SAP landscapes transitioning from ECC to S/4HANA
Experience supporting procurement systems within regulated or audit-driven environments
Prior experience serving as an Ariba SME or mentoring junior team members
SAP Ariba and/or Agile/Scrum certifications
