Responsibilities

Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QS 13485), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations where applicable, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements
Develops short-term and long-term strategies to address all facilities and maintenance activities of a multibuilding site consisting of multiple levels of production machinery, cleanroom, deionized water systems, passivation, and various hazardous gases. Activities can include, but are not limited to the following: monitoring and correcting erroneous expenses; tracking dollars saved from inventory implementations; streamlining processes in order to reduce machine down time, manage expenses, implement improvements; providing metrics and data to influence and support decisions, etc
Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing long term strategies to identify synergies between facilities and maintenance functions, as well as addressing and ensuring effectiveness and regulatory compliance of both functions
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of contractor programs; including but not limited to safety training, contract management, and contract execution
Responsible for the successful facility master planning and project management, including execution of facility construction, additions, renovations, and upgrades. Prepares CAR submissions for projects and monitors projects’ progress utilizing project management techniques
Monitors and evaluates impact of new or modified laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure site maintains compliance
Responsible for the successful execution of the maintenance function for large multi-building site
Provides direction through lower level supervisors and staff in order to ensure the following activities are successfully completed:
Maintenance of computerized equipment database, part requirements, and asset property tag transfer records
Monitoring of contractors’ work to ensure schedules are met, and work is completed according to specifications and is in adherence to documented procedures
Appropriate vendors are chosen to purchase new or existing parts
MSDS procedures regarding new and/or existing products are followed
Applies continuous improvement/lean concepts to identify and eliminates non-value added tasks and/or activities
May assume responsibility for fire/security systems, weekend staffing, holiday walk-through and call-ins on off hours
Monitors/manages utility use. Investigates and implements energy conservation programs when warranted
Develops and manages department budgets
Performs other duties as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural Science, Facilities Management or other related field
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years in a managerial capacity
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
Successfully interacts and cooperates with diverse groups within the company
Shows demonstrable skills with all equipment related to the department operations
Strategic problem solving approach, attentive to detail, well organized and able to meet deadlines
Knowledge of OSHA, EIP, DOT and IATA regulations including lasers, radiation, process safety, emergency response and permitting
Familiar with production procedures and manufacturing equipment
Has thorough knowledge of procedures, work methods, and set-ups within the department
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds
Must be flexible in shift assignments since shift substitution may be required
Must have the ability to physically interact with individuals at work stations within the department and with support groups
