The District Manager will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, supervising a team of drivers, and ensuring effective service delivery.

Responsibilities
Establish and maintain customer contact on a regular basis
Weekly visits to customers in specific district, contract renewals, soil audits, inventories and resolve customer issues/concerns
Address issues regarding credit requests, credit and payment terms, service delivery frequency and service days with customers
Schedule new account installations, including day and stop sequence, first deliveries and other matters with the customer
Other service-related duties as appropriate
Direct reports include Route Supervisor and 5-8 drivers. Responsible for training, developing and disciplining direct reports
Covers route when required (includes operating non CDL truck, delivering product to customer, maintaining all safety and DOT requirements)
Regularly goes out with drivers to monitor driver’s customer service skills and job safety skills
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience supervising a team
5+ years of experience driving, supervising and managing delivery routes and drivers
Cover routes when necessary (in non CDL trucks)
Route rides multiple times per week for training and evaluation
Demonstrated customer service skills
Strong management and communications skills
Efficient time management skills
Ability to resolve issues in the appropriate time frame
Must be organized with excellent follow-up skills
Very strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated computer skills, not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Job is physical in nature. Must be able to lift heavy objects up and down stairs and load these heavy items into trucks
