Deburr Technician II
Tessera is a national non-profit, government contractor dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities. They are seeking a Deburr Technician II who will perform complex deburring and surface finishing operations on aerospace components while supporting quality objectives and potentially mentoring Level I Technicians.

Responsibilities
Perform manual deburring and edge breaking on machined aerospace parts using hand tools (files, stones, scrapers, Scotch-Brite, etc.)
Remove sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections per engineering drawings, process sheets, and customer specifications
Follow written work instructions, routers, and visual aids to ensure consistent workmanship
Demonstrates familiarity with applicable Boeing BAC specifications and follows defined requirements
Inspect own work for basic conformance to dimensional, cosmetic, and surface finish requirements
Properly handle parts to prevent damage, contamination, or foreign object debris (FOD)
Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and safety standards
Use basic measuring and inspection tools (calipers, radius gauges, visual comparators) as trained
Identify and escalate nonconforming conditions to leads or quality personnel
Adhere to AS9100 quality requirements, safety procedures, and company policies

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
3+ years of previous experience in Aerospace industry
Combination of education and previous experience will be considered
A valid state driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
Background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position
Preferred
AS9100 awareness or internal quality system training
FOD prevention certification
Boeing BAC specification training
Customer workmanship standards
Inspection or measurement training
