Responsibilities
Owns product category strategy and P&L to achieve revenue, margin, and profit goals, along with the product lifecycle strategy
Develops and implements new product roadmaps based on customer voice and market research, emphasizing technical feasibility and innovation
Develops and executes pricing strategies, considering technical costs and market value, and maintains market position through competitive technical review
Develops comprehensive knowledge of market segments and competitive technical environments to drive action across Sales, Marketing, and R&D
Collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and Strategic Sourcing on cost-out initiatives to maintain market competitiveness
Partners with Marketing Communications on materials and launch plans, and develops marketing and sales strategies highlighting technical differentiators
Collaborates with channel management, provides technical expertise, and is responsible for training internal and external partners on the product line
Collaborates with engineering teams to design, develop, and optimize software for laser marking systems, leveraging expertise in laser physics and integration
Partners with development teams to support user workflow automation, firmware, and customization, and leads the integration of laser marking systems with ERP platforms for seamless data exchange
Works closely with developers on intuitive software interfaces, benchmarks UX against competitors, and collaborates with UX designers and customer support to translate feedback into innovative features
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline
Experience with Software Architecture and Firmware, including the trade space of software applications for controlling laser hardware
Understanding of Software and Firmware development
Understanding of laser operation, optics, and industrial system integration
Ability to manage complex projects, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, manufacturing-driven environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable bridging gaps between engineering, commercial, and end-user stakeholders
Preferred
Understanding of PLCs, motion control, or industrial automation
Demonstrated experience integrating machine controls with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Knowledge of UX/UI design methodologies and modern design/tooling practices
Hands-on experience with competitive marking technology (e.g., Telesis, FOBA, Trumpf, Videojet, Panasonic, or Keyence marking platforms)
Experience with IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), smart factory, or Industry 4.0 initiatives
Advanced skills in real-time software, image processing, or embedded systems
