Responsibilities
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Assist in seating Members and guests according to seating chart or guest preferences
Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates
Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area
Manage guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees
Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
Perform related duties as required
Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy
Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet
Qualification
Required
Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual
Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
Must have effective communication skills
Ability to implement and uphold service standards
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Enthusiastic and has a knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers
High School Diploma or GED recommended
Some College experience or Degree recommended
Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire
Must have a current Food Handlers card
Preferred
Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is preferred
