Responsibilities

Articulate and lead a clear vision for the future of the organization aligned with its mission and values
In partnership with the Board, develop and implement a clear strategic roadmap aligned with long-term organizational goals and emerging opportunities
Guide the organization’s growth strategy and execution, drawing on experience in scaling organizations and facilitating change to ensure the team expands impact while sustaining operational quality
Design an effective model of national service delivery that best supports a unified mission, operational efficiency, and sustainability
Guide the delivery of national and regional programs related to awareness, education, support, and research
Ensure strategic alignment across all functions including programs, development, communications, and operations in order to drive cohesive organizational growth
Partner with the CFO to drive long-term financial sustainability through efficient resource allocation
Foster a positive, high-performance culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors fostering transparency, strategic input, and alignment in advancing the organization’s mission
Partner closely with the Board, contributing to strategic planning and mobilizing Board leadership in fundraising, partnerships, and visibility initiatives
Support the Board Chair in board growth/diversification
Expand and diversify the organization's revenue streams, with an emphasis on major gifts and corporate partnerships
Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors and volunteers, along with the wider community by maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders in pharma, industry, and government
Serve as the organization’s primary public representative, engaging media, policymakers, funders, and the broader public
Champion the organization’s role in advancing medical and scientific research
Advance strategic alliances with research institutions, healthcare providers, and mission-aligned organizations
Lead a comprehensive organizational assessment to evaluate the service delivery model, priorities, processes, and resource alignment with growth and operational excellence goals
Develop and launch a multi-year strategic growth plan with clear priorities for fundraising, program expansion, and maximizing impact
Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, board members, staff, partners, and scientific collaborators
Deepen and expand donor relationships through stewardship and cultivation, while pursuing new revenue streams
Represent the organization in external forums and media, establishing the CEO as a trusted, credible voice on core issues

Required

Proven success in a multi-faceted senior leadership role with a track record of operational excellence
Demonstrated ability to set a clear and achievable vision and strategy while ensuring operational excellence and successfully scaling programs or organizations during times of change or transformation
Significant experience leading revenue strategy and execution, particularly through major gifts and corporation partnerships
Experience managing and partnering with a Board of Directors, including governance, development, and strategic collaboration
A compelling communicator with experience representing an organization externally
Skilled in team leadership and organizational culture development, especially in a virtual environment

Preferred

Familiarity with Tourette Syndrome or Tic Disorders is of added value
