Responsibilities
Performing Design Change Notifications, Engineering Instructions, Specifications, Calculations and various other engineering and regulatory documents
Provide engineering recommendations for new installation and repair of landfill features such as liners, embankments, pavements, bridges, sediment ponds, drainage and erosion control features
Oversee design work, land surveys and construction performed by designated craft and subcontractors
Provide technical expertise and direction for procurement of materials and subcontractor work releases
Prepares engineering products such as: calculations, specifications, scopes of work, analyses, designs and design changes, and engineering reports within the discipline
May be assigned as Project Engineer, Discipline Engineer, System Engineer, or Cognizant System Engineer
Follows procedures in the development of engineering products
May develop engineering products and provide expertise in the engineering discipline commensurate with grade level
May provide technical support in the areas of operations, maintenance, inspections and tests, and configuration management for assigned systems and components
Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities
Keeps proper engineering files and records
Applies industry codes and standards in development of engineering products commensurate with grade level
Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments
Complies with company’s safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies
Develops an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company
Conforms to company core values
Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility
Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others
Qualification
Required
Licensed Civil PE
Landfill design and construction experience
Landfill operational experience
Environmental Regulatory requirements and compliance (RCRA, CERCLA, EPA, TDEC, etc.)
Surveying experience
Procurement experience
Subcontractor management experience
Strong CAD skills
DOE Q Clearance
