Account Executive (Public Safety)
Primis is a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the public safety sector, and they are seeking a passionate and driven Account Executive - Public Safety to join their specialized sales team. This role involves driving digital transformation within public sector organizations by engaging with C-level leaders, managing the full sales cycle, and delivering innovative technology solutions that enhance public safety operations.
Responsibilities
Build and manage strong relationships with senior leaders in state, county, and local government agencies
Present tailored technology solutions that support first responders and public safety professionals
Drive the full sales process, leveraging your understanding of both technical solutions and business value
Partner with key vendors and internal teams to create compelling proposals and ensure successful project delivery
Use CRM tools (such as NetSuite) to manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and maintain organized records
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings—both in person and virtually
Contribute to state contract management and procurement processes
Qualification
Required
5+ years of proven technology sales experience, ideally selling hardware/software solutions into the public sector or first responder market
Demonstrated success engaging C-level executives and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Strong understanding of how technology drives efficiency, ROI, and public safety outcomes
Exceptional communication and presentation skills—able to translate technical value into business impact
Experience with CRM systems (NetSuite or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight trips

Previous law enforcement or public sector experience is a plus
