Bookkeeper

The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting theatre education. Responsibilities

Processing accounts payable from vendor setup through payment and documentation filing
Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing, applying payments, and tracking outstanding balances
Coding transactions accurately by entity, program, department, and project/class structure
Recording deposits and reconciling cash receipts across multiple payment platforms
Completing bank and credit card reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Preparing routine journal entries under the direction of the Director of Finance
Maintaining organized digital records to support audits, compliance, and internal review
Assisting with monthly close schedules, budget updates, audit preparation, and 990 support

Required

Detail-oriented

Ensure strong internal controls
Timely, accurate processing of accounting transactions
Maintain clean, well-documented records in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Sage Intacct
Support accounts payable
Support accounts receivable
Perform reconciliations
Manage documentation
Assist with month-end close activities

Preferred
