The Human Resources Volunteer Program Intern will support the Volunteer Sarasota County program through administrative, technical, and creative tasks while gaining hands-on experience and developing new skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with department volunteer coordinators and site coordinators to audit, update, and standardize volunteer position descriptions, including defining the required onboarding steps for each assignment

Review and streamline volunteer profiles

Develop concise, engaging communication materials and a messaging plan to inform volunteers about possible program changes

Support the planning, scripting, and production of a new volunteer orientation video in collaboration with the Training and Development and Communications teams

A presentation to the County Administrator and other County Leadership staff is required at the close of the internship program on Friday, August 7, 2026

Participate in all organized intern events and trainings
