Responsibilities

Partner with company leaders and New Charter People leadership to design and execute HR strategies aligned to business goals
Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, and people initiatives
Provide consultative HR support across payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, employee relations, coaching, and development
Act as the primary HR point of contact for team members—guiding them through HR processes, systems, and benefits with clarity and care
Collaborate with the People team to strengthen a culture where employees feel engaged, supported, and inspired to do their best work
Help diagnose engagement challenges and implement solutions that improve retention and performance
Analyze workforce data (payroll, benefits, compensation, job levels, attrition) to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to leadership
Partner with fellow HRBPs and Learning & Development teammates to deliver impactful programs in wellness, training, leadership development, and career pathing

Qualification

Required

2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, HRBP, or in a related HR role
Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR best practices
Strong coaching and consulting skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Business-minded thinker who connects people initiatives to organizational outcomes
Clear, confident communicator—skilled in facilitation, listening, and writing
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proven experience strengthening culture, engagement, and performance management
Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Highly organized and process-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail
Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating HR systems and tools
Trusted with confidential information and guided by strong integrity
Collaborative, flexible, and naturally consultative
Equally comfortable working tactically and strategically
Servant-hearted, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of employees and leaders you support

Preferred

Experience using HCM systems (Workday experience strongly preferred)
SHRM or HRCI certification and/or an advanced HR-related degree strongly preferred
