Salesforce System Architect

Responsibilities
Define and document the overall Salesforce architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
Design scalable and secure Salesforce solutions, including data models, workflows, and integrations
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical roadmaps, and best practices for Salesforce implementations
Ensure that Salesforce solutions adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, such as ERP, marketing automation, and data warehouses, using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools
Oversee the development of custom applications, components, and features using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components
Optimize Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules, to meet business needs
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Salesforce developers, administrators, and other team members
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate them into technical solutions
Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce-related questions and challenges
Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce applications and integrations
Identify and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations
Plan and execute Salesforce platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements
Implement and maintain data governance policies, including data quality, security, and retention
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and technical teams
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Salesforce configurations, integrations, and processes
Stay updated on Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) with 4+ years experience supporting environments in AWS and/or Salesforce
Experience with Salesforce based solutions
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Experience with Networking (e.g. AWS VPC, DNS, CIDR/Routing)
Experience implementing compliance with government regulations such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms
Requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or high latency ISP is not acceptable
Must be an U.S. citizen, speak fluent English, and able to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required
Preferred
Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Salesforce DX
Experience with data migration tools, such as Data Loader, and ETL processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on team development and knowledge sharing
Veteran/military retiree and/or military spouse or Experience working with and/or for military communities
Experience in or supporting a Contact Center, Military/Veteran services, or healthcare environment
