Financial Operations Associate
People Incorporated Mental Health Services is the largest nonprofit mental health provider in Minnesota. They are seeking a Financial Operations Associate to perform tactical financial duties for assigned programs, ensuring efficient financial processes and addressing any challenges that arise.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-accuracy consumer financial processing, including insurance verifications, prior authorizations, re-authorizations, and co-pay workflows, ensuring timely completion and minimal errors that could affect service delivery or reimbursement
Maintain flawless data integrity when accessing, entering, or reporting on PHI within the EMR, consistently meeting HIPAA standards and organizational security expectations
Function as the unit’s technical and procedural expert, diagnosing workflow bottlenecks, identifying performance or compliance risks, and driving process improvements that enhance speed, accuracy, and consumer experience
Partner proactively with the Billing team to achieve high clean-claim rates, reduce reimbursement delays, and resolve denials or documentation gaps with urgency
Partner with Operational leadership to review, assess, approve and revise claims to assure first pass clean claims. Act as a leader to diagnose and correct issues independently
Build and sustain high-quality operational tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and documentation, ensuring data reliability and supporting efficient decision-making and reporting
Communicate with clarity, professionalism, and problem-solving focus, strengthening relationships and ensuring issues with consumers or stakeholders are addressed quickly and effectively
Contribute to a high-performance, cross-trained team, providing reliable back-up coverage and maintaining operational continuity during staff absences or workload surges
Engage fully in required training, meetings, and compliance activities, applying knowledge to elevate personal performance and overall unit effectiveness
Demonstrate dependable, consistent attendance, supporting workflow stability and meeting the operational demands of the unit
Execute additional assigned duties that advance departmental objectives or organizational performance
Qualification
Required
High-accuracy consumer financial processing skills, including insurance verifications, prior authorizations, re-authorizations, and co-pay workflows
Ability to maintain flawless data integrity when accessing, entering, or reporting on PHI within the EMR, consistently meeting HIPAA standards and organizational security expectations
Technical and procedural expertise to diagnose workflow bottlenecks, identify performance or compliance risks, and drive process improvements
Proactive partnership with the Billing team to achieve high clean-claim rates, reduce reimbursement delays, and resolve denials or documentation gaps
Ability to review, assess, approve and revise claims to assure first pass clean claims
Skills in building and sustaining high-quality operational tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and documentation
Strong communication skills with clarity, professionalism, and problem-solving focus
