They are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic to perform internal and external sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft, ensuring efficiency and compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform structural aircraft repairs using appropriate sheet metal techniques and fasteners
Remove, replace, and relocate headers, stringers, doors, beams, and bulkheads while building up surfaces and structures to specifications
Install Service Bulletin kits using parts and instructions provided by OEM
Plan and develop schemes for sheet metal repairs and modifications by utilizing blueprints, sketches, service bulletins, OEM specifications, engineering orders, and other technical publications
Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and protractors, to accomplish repairs or modifications
Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals and evaluate removed components for serviceability, documenting discrepancies
Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required
Analyze various mechanical problems to determine causes and the best methods of repair

Required

A minimum of three (3) years of aircraft sheet metal fabrication experience
Prior experience working in the capacity of an Airframe Sheet Metal Specialist, Structural Technician or Aircraft Mechanic
A valid FAA Airframe License
Experience building I-beams, doublers, stringers, and performing corrosion control
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Preferred

Previous experience building bespoke structures, trays and/or mounts of all sizes and applications
A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
Experience working alongside A&P Mechanics and Avionics Technicians performing heavy maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Corporate / Business Aviation or MRO experience strongly desired
