Con Edison is looking for a Material Analyst to join their Stores Operations team in the New York City region. The successful candidate will ensure an adequate supply of materials to support operations and collaborate with various internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret company specifications, parts lists, and drawings
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, and Planning. Additionally, serve as a company liaison with external partners, such as manufacturers, vendors, engineers, sales representatives, and various supply and service providers
Maintain regular contact with customers, ensuring effective communication and support
Commit to promoting a Zero Accident Culture, embracing Diversity and Inclusion, driving Operational Excellence, supporting an effective Cost Management Culture, and consistently enhancing the customer experience
Ensure that the Human Performance Improvements (HPI) tools are incorporated into daily work

Required

High School Diploma/GED and at least three years of related experience in supply chain or a related field
Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of related experience in supply chain or a related field
The Applicant should be familiar with Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Procedures (HASPs) regarding procuring materials and services for utilization by company personnel and/or at company facilities
The Applicant must take and pass the Material Analyst test at the Learning Center
Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and clerical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, while demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and work effectively in a fast-paced service environment
Driver's License Required

Preferred

Experience with the company's mainframe system, Oracle EBS Finance/Supply Chain, is highly preferred
Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS)
